About us
Six houses, one family

Our story
Sebastiano Burgo, born in Italy, learned to cook from his grandmother – her recipes for pasta, sugo and pinsa remain the heart of our kitchen to this day. La Vita opened on Neubrückstrasse in 2013; Sebastiano Burgo has run the house since 2015 – and has since grown the family to five further houses.
For Sebastiano and his team, one simple principle applies: “You are the guest and we are the team.”

What matters to us
Our principles
A wood-fired oven in every house
Six houses, six wood-fired ovens – the foundation for pizza and pinsa with real character.
Pinsa Romana, 48–72 h
Our pinsa dough rests for 48 to 72 hours. That's what makes it light, airy and easy to digest.
An Italian team
From the kitchen to the service – a team that knows its cuisine and its guests.
